6P45S Tube Amplifier Prototype

I have completed building and initial testing of a new tube amplifier prototype. It uses the Russian 6P45S tubes in the output stage. This prototype will be used for testing, tweaking and a way to perfect the amplifier before building the final version. Read more about the amplifier, the progress and see the pictures at […]

TL494 Flyback Driver

It took some years and someone recently bumping up my old thread about this project for me to write up a article. I had to dig around a bit to find the pictures, make a video and get it on here. Read all about the design and construction of the TL494 flyback driver here: https://kaizerpowerelectronics.dk/high-voltage/tl494-flyback-driver/

DRSSTC III update #1

Being the lucky person to suffer from having a work, there is little time to maintain building on all the high voltages apparatuses. None the less there is still progress and here is some of it for the large DRSSTC currently under way. All the pictures can be seen at the bottom of the page:

Royer Induction Heater – First Test

First test run of the Royer induction heater. It is running with a maximum of 650 Watt power consumption. As a result thereof, there is heavy voltage sag on the DC supply. The work load being heated is a M10x20mm bolt. Further videos will be released, when improvements have been implemented. Read the full article

4000 joule capacitor bank fired at maximum energy

This afternoon I had my current monitor and oscilloscope hooked up to the capacitor bank to do current measurements of the short circuit energy. The results and pictures are amazing and I am thrilled by the magnitude of the pulse discharges. Go ahead and read the full article! http://kaizerpowerelectronics.dk/pulse-power/4000-joule-capacitor-bank/

First shot with 4000 joule capacitor bank!

Today I put the last parts together on small project with a large impact. A 4000 joule capacitor bank able of delivering destructive short circuit currents in the thousands. The first test was only done at 1kj to ensure that everything works and I will then slowly step up the energy charge with further experiments

Finn Hammer and Daniel Uhrenholt show in Fredericia, Denmark.

I went to visit Finn Hammer and Daniel Uhrenholt when they were doing a show in Fredericia, Denmark at Tøjhuset as a part of a electrical car and alternative energy convention. A few pictures from around the event. Among a couple of Tesla Roadsters. Video of Daniels coil performing a short midi medley.
