High Voltage Insulators – Isolation, Day 20

In this video I talk about some of the high voltage insulator items I have collected. Normal household 230/400VAC porcelain insulators with brass mounting hardware. Lineman clamping connectors to be operated by an insulated rod. From a large distribution transformer, there is some large brown 10 kVAC feed through high voltage insulators.

Railway electrification system insulators comes from upgrades on the 25 kVAC overhead distribution network. This runs along the train tracks. It is one of the standardized voltages according to 25 kV AC, 50 Hz (EN 50163).
